Originally focused on social and cultural content production, the company has evolved into a versatile ally for TV networks, branded content, marketing videos, corporate communications, digital campaigns, and independent film projects. Sheron Dayoc
SHERON DAYOC is a director who has shifts from fiction and non-fiction storytelling to directing TV commercials. His notable films include HALAW/Ways of the Sea (NETPAC Jury - 2011 Berlin International Film Festival, NETPAC Award – Asia Pacific Screen Awards 2011, Cinemalaya 2010 Best film/director), The Crescent Rising (Best Documentary – Busan International Film Festival 2016, Gawad Urian 2015, and Qcinema 2016), and his 2016 feature film, Women of the Weeping River, has won numerous local and international awards. The film was recognized as one of the 12 iconic films of the decade by CNN Philippines, the Philippine Critics Award (Gawad Urian), and the National Commission for the Culture and Arts (NCCA). His recent 2023 film, The Gospel of the Beast, competed at the main competition section of the prestigious Tokyo International Film Festival.
In the advertising realm, his most notable work includes the 2018 VICKS ‘Touch of Care’ campaign by Publicis One Singapore, which ranked among the top 5 adverts globally for 2018 by Campaignasia.com. This same ad won awards at Spikes Asia, the Kidlat Awards, and the Araw Value Awards. More recently, the ads he directed, 'Kwentong Jollibee: School Boy,' won YouTube awards. Last year, 'ChocoMani' won Gold at the 2023 Kidlat Awards.

Sonny Calvento
SONNY CALVENTO is a director, producer, and writer based in the Philippines. At the age of 19, he worked as a drama writer for ABS-CBN, the largest broadcasting network in the Philippines. He was also a fellow at the Hanoi International Film Festival Directing and Producing Studio, where he was awarded Best Talent in Directing and Producing.
His first short film, “Excuse Me, Miss, Miss, Miss (2019),” became the first Filipino short film at the Sundance Film Festival. The same film premiered at the Locarno Film Festival, Palm Springs ShortFest, and the Shanghai International Film Festival, among others. It also won the Audience Award at Locarno Shorts Week in 2023.
His first feature film, “The Decaying” (2017), premiered at the Busan International Film Festival.
Sonny Calvento produced the Cinemalaya Best Film “John Denver Trending (2019)” and the Gawad Urian Best Short Film “Dandansoy (2021).”

Arden Rod Condez
ARDEN ROD CONDEZ graduated cum laude in 2005 from the premier state university, the University of the Philippines in the Visayas, with a degree in Broadcast Communication. He also pursued a second major in Literature, specializing in the literature of Western Visayas in the Philippines, his place of origin.
Right after college, he worked as a drama writer for ABS-CBN Broadcasting Company, once the Philippines' largest media conglomerate, for 15 years. Arden Rod Condez premiered his full-length directorial debut, “John Denver Trending,” in 2019. It became Cinemalaya’s Best Film and was subsequently screened in more than 25 film festivals, winning three major awards abroad.
Following this success, he created two short films for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. One of the short films entitled Dandansoy was the 2021 Gawad Urian for Best Short Film.
He also wrote “Excuse Me, Miss, Miss, Miss” by Sonny Calvento. It is the first-ever Filipino short film to be selected at Sundance. Arden Rod Condez is currently preparing for his second feature as a director while occasionally writing and directing for television.

Jo Andrew Torlao
Jo Andrew Torlao is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of the Philippines Visayas.
He served as Project Development Officer, Unit Manager of the International Distribution Unit, and Festival Division Head at the Film Development Council of the Philippines from September 2016 to June 2023. He has produced short films and managed a full-length film production, and has staged, developed, and helped out in organizing various film festivals, exhibits, and film retrospectives locally and abroad. He has been selected and was part of various international training programs for film exhibition, programming and curation, and film festival development.
He recently started producing films and ads for Southern Lantern Studios.

Arianna Martinez
Arianna Martinez is a filmmaking graduate from De La Salle - College of St. Benilde. Her thesis film, "Sonder," not only entered but also won a special mention award at the CCP Gawad Alternatibo in 2013. Post-graduation, she embarked on a five-year mentorship under the guidance of the prolific scriptwriter Armando "Bing" Lao, emerging as a product of the esteemed Found Story School of Scriptwriting.
Transitioning into her professional journey, Arianna began contributing her talents as a scriptwriter and researcher for TV, film, and musical plays, collaborating with renowned directors such as Paul Soriano, Armando Lao, and Brillante Mendoza. In 2022, she wrote her first full-length feature film titled "Apag," directed by Brillante Mendoza, which had its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival.
Arianna currently serves as a scriptwriter and upcoming producer at Southern Lantern Studios. In 2023, she produced her first animated short film, "All The Time," for FDCP's SineKabataan, earning a special mention award. In 2024, Arianna is set to co-write a Cinemalaya project titled "Love Child," directed by Jonathan Jurilla and produced by Arden Rod Condez. Additionally, she will write and produce two projects, "Through the Red Mountains" and "Where Flowers Bloom," in collaboration with director Sheron Dayoc.

Angel Benjamin
ANGEL BENJAMIN graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines - Visayas with a degree in Communication and Media Studies.
Her first film, "Issa Prank," was a finalist in the 33rd Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video. While in college, she also produced a short film entitled "Sayaw sa Buhi" by Rikki Lyn Dela Cruz. The film won Best Film (Interschool Category), Best Screenplay, and Best Music at Sinepiyu XV and was also a finalist in the 34th Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video.
Following her graduation, she embarked on a multifaceted career at Southern Lantern Studios, where she transitioned through roles as a production assistant, location manager, production manager, and writer. Throughout her time there, she made significant contributions to diverse projects encompassing TV commercials, corporate AVPs, Cinemalaya, music videos, and narrative films.
She is currently preparing for an upcoming Cinemalaya full-length feature film with Southern Lantern Studios, set to be filmed in Western Visayas.
